FRENCH EASTER BRUNCH!
Happy almost Easter to those who celebrate! This year Easter and Orthodox Easter land on the same day - happy 4/20 my dudes?! I’ve always celebrated both because my mom is Greek Orthodox so I feel very lucky to have experienced different traditions as well as different flavors.
Last year, we celebrated “French” Easter with a giant flood at my home so let’s just say this year is looking UP and I can’t wait to prep some carrot cake jam for the occasion.
Regardless of what side of the family I celebrate Easter with, one thing is for SURE, we are having a scrumptious brunch filled with fun homemade treats.
For Greek Easter, my mom and I make Tsoureki, a sweet, chewy bread made with mastic and mahlepi… We also play games involving smashing dyed red eggs against one another and eat loads of keftedes (recipe in TCB 2.0) slathered in tzatziki.

In France, there is no Easter bunny! Rather, bells come flying above and dropping little chocolates for children to eat. An Easter morning evidently requires a trip to the bakery and lots of unopened homemade jams to taste. An exciting preview of summer flavors to come!

This year, I’ll be celebrating the holiday with family in France at the mills. While we have loads of jams to open, I’m going to prep a few more (of course). If your family is like mine, then I suggest you start prepping your jams now so that you can actually ENJOY your holiday once the weekend rolls around. Here are some of my top Easter jam recipes using ingredients that are in season now…
Recipe: Carrot Cake Jam
It’s time to level up your Easter brunch (tbh breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert) with carrot cake jam… Yep, you read that right!
Ginger Limeade Jam
The US version of my book is finally available for preorder and although I am excited to share it with you, it feels so wrong at this present moment when such devastation is happening in LA… I can’t wait to meet you all on tour and to go back to my hometown!
Recipe: Sancerre Jam
There are very few feelings that top washing down a bite of creamy cheese with crisp wine. I’ve been in France for the past few days, which means I’ve been eating my fair share of cheese. The other night, when feasting on my post-dinner cheese plate which consisted of a lot of goat cheese
I can’t wait to see which ones you make this weekend! Let me know below in the comments :)
