Hi Claire! You should speak to a business called Gewurzhaus!
I can put in touch direct if you’d like, they’re a spice merchant who creates spice blends, and spice-infused chocolate, cookies etc! Please let me know you’d be perfect for them.
Hi Claire! Edition roasters in Sydney is definitely a collaboration/cafe you should look at!! They have a cafe in Sydney CBD directly next to the Dymocks which would be especially handy for The Condiment Book! Their matcha is so good. And not related, but you NEED to try chicken salt! It is an Aussie MUST on top of chips/fries. So excited that you’re coming to Sydney!
There’s also Sandhurst in South Sydney that does preserved fruit and veg and sundries tomatoes, marinated olives, and condiments too!! You could even try collab with a sandwich place in Sydney and make your own sandwich!
I’d love to get together with you and whip up some fresh butters with a middle eastern - Aussie twist, cook up a storm or host a pop up in Sydney (maybe even by the beach)! @foodbyausraeli aka @danagilden
Please come visit Wellington, NZ! UnityBooks often hosts amazing authors, and I'm sure they would be stoked to have you there (as well as all your supporters in here!) Wellington is not only the capital city but also widely known as the foodie / coffee and craft beer capital of NZ, so definitely will not disappoint :)
Another vote for Gewurzhaus! You need collab on a salt with them. Get in touch with Pepe Saya for butter. In terms of foods you’ll wanna eat…LouLou, Baker Bleu, AP Bakery. Breakfast at Bills and dinner at Saint Peter. Fish and chips with plum sauce from Doyle’s in rose bay xx
Gah! I’m an Aussie, living in London and travel to South Africa every year for work and I’m heading back home to Melbourne late Jan! Every time you’re abroad I miss you by a day or so!
Anyway, let me share my Google pins list that I said to anyone visiting my home town! It covers, restaurants, wineries and most importantly shopping! Enjoy if ever our paths cross I think I’ll fan girl maaaajor! ❤️
I have nothing to offer in terms of collaborating (but I am beyond excited to see you in Sydney) you HAVE to visit Dulcet Cafe - it’s sort of inside Books Kinokuniya right Downtown so accessible. They have amazing matcha - but also a sesame latte that is to die for!!!! (Maybe they’d collab? I have no connections though just a huge fan 🥺)
Hi Claire, I met you in London and am so excited you are coming to Melbourne! As an avid foodie I felt I should share few local favourites:
1. any of the restaurants by the Lucas group for a nice dinner (yakimono, tombo den, chin chin etc.)
2. if you go down to the Mornington peninsula montalto winery , jackalope and point Leo estate are all excellent and equally zonzo estate or stones of the Yarra valley are great in the Yarra valley.
3. There are SO many cafes but checkout good measure for a cool mont-blanc coffee, bakers wife is a cute bakery (hawthorn), Flovie (Carlton).
4. Because I know you love a market check out south Melbourne or victoria market - in particular the iconic donut truck is a must try!!
Near south Melbourne market there are also some great cafes and shops. Recently tried out juniper and it was great, definitely order their frappée !
5. Melbournians love panini / sandwich places - try out piccolo paninis and get the chicken Parma one
Sorry for the long list and I hope you enjoy your time down under, can’t wait to come to your Melbourne event!
Hi Claire, I am a Marketing/Comms Manager at a beautiful winery in the Yarra Valley (just an hour out of Melbourne). We would be thrilled to host you for lunch or brainstorm so ways we can collab together!
Hi Claire! Excited for you to be coming to Aotearoa (NZ)!! We have amazing coffee and matcha scene here. If you want amazing matcha you have to try Blackdrop eatery. I can link you up with the owner, she is amazing. If you have time as well, you have to go Matakana Markets!
Hey Claire <3 SO exciting to hear you're coming to Sydney! I blend fragrances to curate your cosy with beautiful domed wood-wick candles, and would love to chat flavours/scent pairings. I recently did a collaboration with local cafe Honey & Walnut inspired by their uber chic fig, honey and walnut cheesecake and it's received such wonderful feedback. I can only imagine the flavour and scent pairings we could dream up :) @cavendish.ave on Insta if you want to check us out
