Oh, there is so much to see in NZ - and further afield than Auckland. Come to the top of the South Island - some amazing producers here: Manaaki condiments - made by the Aunties at Omaka Marae (you would LOVE them!); Murphy's Garlic in Marlborough, home of the original black garlic; Boom Town hot sauces; Pic's Peanut Butter in Nelson; Little Beauties in Tasman, and heaps more. The Marlborough Farmers' Market is really great too.
I can’t find the event on the 15th of feb on their website. Do I need to book for tickets or purchase tickets? Could you put a link up if that’s the case?
Duck Island is incredible. They had a Brandy Snap flavour when I was back over Christmas and it was the best thing I've ever eaten. I did back Fix and Fogg in my suitcase because British peanut butter doesn't compare. For NZ indigenous food, hāngi is the most traditional. Personally I've only had it on Marae visits with school or family. I think there's a place in Rotorua where tourists can go. Huhū grubs are sometimes eaten but I've never been brave enough
