As you may now know, I’ve just spent the best first 10 days of the year (and potentially of my life) in South Africa. Due to the overwhelming response my trip has gotten, I’ve made sure to add everything to IG highlights as well as in a folder on TikTok for easy access and efficiency’s sake! I’ve also made sure to include my safari lodge as well as hotel recommendation since that was a commonly asked question.

This city guide may look a bit different to you as I’ve suggested things rather than places to eat. I find that when you’re in a culture completely different from your own, it’s actually more important to immerse yourself within it and try regular, “everyday” food rather than the best new restaurant or current hip café. Learning through my tastebuds has always been my preferred method of understanding others from different backgrounds.
