If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I will be eating radish and butter the second the sun comes out in spring until the very end of summer. Also called radis beurre in France, it’s a typical duo that you’ll find served as an appetizer in local bistros, a staple in summer apéro dinatoires, or as a common snack brought along to picnics.
Radish and butter has become popularized on the internet for the past few years and I’ve seen so many modern iterations as to how it’s served. Traditionally it’s just eaten as an easy duo of radish stuffed with salted butter, like in the video below!

Although I do tend to stick with the classic, I really wanted to transform the snack into something a bit different but still EASY. As much as I’ve loved seeing these radishes coated in gorgeous melted butter, I personally don’t have the time or patience to create a display like that… So that’s when it hit me, what if I jarred the radish up in a way that maintained the crunchy, tangy integrity of the vegetable?!
