The best part about NYC is that its staple spots have withstood the test of time. My mom was raised in New York and I lived there up until the pandemic so it’s a city I know quite well and love very much. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten to spend much time there in the past few years but fortunately, all of my favorite restaurants are still standing and serving up the exact same dishes. THAT is the beauty of NYC!
RIP to Uncle Boons, UES Dylan’s Candy Shop, and FAO Schwarz tho

I was, and will always be, a Lower East Side gal. I love that neighborhood so much - the small restos, wine bars, shops, the proximity to Chinatown and Williamsburg… That said, this guide will take you all over from the UES to Park Slope to Astoria?! Again, NYC’s walkability is another factor in its beauty and walking is something you 100% have to do to best discover the city and its hidden gems.
Below you’ll find my favorite restaurants, spots that are popular and worth the hype, brunch favorites, bakeries, bars, coffee shops, activities, shopping, and more. Ever heard of a saladpalooza? Scroll down and find out!
