Budapest City Guide
+ a 3 day itinerary !
where to stay, what and where to eat, 3 day itinerary, traditional foods to try…
Since Euro Summer is coming up, I’d highly recommend thinking about adding Budapest as a stopover during your time here. It’s family-friendly, easy to walk around, and you can pack it all in in 3 days! I had never been here before and now I understand what the hype is about.
I booked this last minute trip to Budapest on Expedia and ended up getting the wildest deal on one of the most popular hotels in the city. I’m working with them this year and am so excited to share the trips with you! What I love about this partnership is that I get to book every trip myself, pick my destination, hotel etc and just share it with you!
for anyone looking to book their Euro Summer trip, they’re actually having their Big Summer Sale (which I’ve just taken advantage of and booked a few trips myself) so you can check out some of my top stays here!
Buda & Pest ?!
I’ll admit to you that I only found out recently that Budapest is split in half by the Danube river… One side is Buda, one side is Pest. Buda is considered the residential, quiet and more green side to the city whereas there’s more of a hustle & bustle on the Pest side.
OH, and it’s pronounced budapeSHt!
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Anantara Palace located in the Jewish Quarter. Although I didn’t know the city before, I loved staying in this neighborhood because it was really great spot to find last minute breakfast, lunch, dinner walk in spots, no reservations needed, nothing too touristy or expensive compared to closer to the river. The restaurants here ranged from Hungarian traditional bistros to Korean sandwiches to food markets, trendy coffee shops and more.
