My mom’s family is Greek so while I’ve spent some time here with family, I was also lucky enough to spend a few months living in Athens in 2019. I was working on a TV series so fortunately, my coworkers were all Greek and took me to their top local spots.

I recently came back (tbh am here right now writing this), and was SHOCKED to see how cool the city has gotten? I’ve always had a soft spot for it due to my heritage and my love for history but now it’s also jam-packed with new restaurants, juice bars, young interesting and interested people.

As long as you make sure to start your morning with a frappé (or a cappuccino freddo) and grab a €1 koulouria (thin and chewy, sesame heavy, bagel-like bread) from a street vendor, you’ll be good to go!
